Description Details Condition Shipping Product Description This is a beautiful classically structured hobo that is crafted of intrecciato tightly woven, uniform Nappa leather in nero Black.
Condition Item Condition: Pre-Owned. Gently Used Noticeable, Slight signs of wear Exterior: The soft leather exterior shows lights rubbing and wear on the bottom corners and base of the bag.
Over time there will be a bit of finish loss on the corners. You'll notice on most colors but obviously lighter ones and bright ones sooner. Ask any Veneta hobo owner about this.
I have a red Blood cosmetic case that has faded on the top edges quite a bit. But it was used daily and got tossed around in my bag. I think some colors handle wear better than others. I am wondering if Blood was a finicky color.
The lining is suede and tends to be lighter so you will see wear from pens and other spills. I have a key chain where the metal is brunito and I do see some finish loss on the metal. So all this sounds bad, but these are items I use everyday and, if I may candid, with no babying and little regard. My life is hectic and moving and I expect a bag to bump and bounce along with me! The weave makes them light but exceptionally strong. I won't repeat what everyone else has said but BV holds up at least as well as most other designer bags.
The softening with age and even the rubbing on the edges is part of the love I have for the brand--it shows I love and used them. May 11, 3, United States. Are they durable? The leather-crafting holds up and the suede linings are stronger than cloth. I've had no issues with busted seams or loose stitching, zipper problems, or anything of that sort.
Will they keep looking like new with everyday use? No, not in my experience. I have had some color loss on handles. Also, the nappa lambskin is so supple and gets softer with use, so the bag will develop a more relaxed vibe than when the bag is new which I think is a good thing for certain styles.
See Grietje's reply for more examples. There are some types of handbags that can take a beating and still look great, but I think the nappa leather BVs like the one in your link probably wouldn't stand up to actual abuse. I don't baby my nappa BVs, but I do exercise ordinary care I try not to get them wet, I don't overload them so that the leather won't distort or sag, I don't toss it around like I would a nylon tote, etc.
I guess what I'm saying is that they are high quality, but that doesn't mean that they're indestructible. McLoverly O. Oct 7, 1, I'll echo the others.
