Upon arriving at the store, her coworker for the shift before her, Ken-kun , shows relief that she made it in stating that someone had recently fallen off of the bridge she just crossed to get to the store.
He also tells her how an old lady told him she saw a man with backwards-facing legs recently, indicating Yokai activity in the area. The protagonist clocks in to work and Ken-kun leaves. The protagonist is tasked with checking the shelves for expired items and has the choice of either throwing them all in the garbage or giving one of the bags of expired items to a mentally disturbed homeless man sitting on the curb outside.
As time passes a customer will come in and buy an item and she has to ring him out. It being improved makes it even better! While playing, I did notice that this demo did jump to action a lot faster though, and it was so short compared to the first one. Personally, I enjoyed the original demo. It build up the tension a lot more, kept the player in mystery and the unknowing.. Of course, not knowing what the final product will bring, I'll leave that in the middle and up for debate.
Perhaps if this demo were also longer, I would prefer this one, who knows. I was happy to see that some of the puzzles made it to the new demo too. It really brought some nostalgia to me and am curious to see more of these when it is completed!

I really hope the dialogue is fixed since this beta was created because it's filled with poor grammar which makes puzzles more difficult than needed to understand and takes me out of the immersion quite a bit by phrases such as "This do nothing" instead of something like "This has no use right now.
